Laser marking / annealing marking and laser engraving

We mark your objects using the latest laser technology. Alongside all metals, we can now also mark (and if necessary cut) sensitive materials such as plastic, wood, cardboard, glass and more. For this purpose, we have:

  • 4 machines for laser marking on all kinds of metal
  • 2 different laser light sources that allow marking and cutting of plastics, wood and similar materials

We will gladly show you the possibilities and characteristics of laser marking, laser engraving and annealing marking.

You can benefit from these additional services without any hassle, irrespective of any prior turning or milling work.

So can it be done?

«This is a question that I am often asked. Usually, my answer is 'Yes, it can.' And if I am ever insufficiently certain about the form or the material, I am happy to test it for you. Even I am often amazed by all the possibilities of our laser machines.»

All-around laser engravings and customizations

Unlike traditional engraving with a cutter or graver, laser engraving today is revolutionizing the possibilities for detailed product design. The excellent advantages of this technology include:

  • Precision: The possibility to completely personalize, whether with individual designs or progressive numbering, even down to the finest details.
  • Versatility: Laser engravings on an array of surfaces, including complex shapes like curved or sloping surfaces.
  • All-around engraving: Heavy, round parts can be engraved in bulk with no need for a special rotary axis. Modern software solutions automatically compensate for bias and focus points to produce perfect results.
  • Speed: From individual parts to large-scale series.

Thanks to these expanded possibilities, laser engraving is setting new standards in product individualization and design.

How do I get a quotation for laser engraving?

To provide you with a precise quotation quickly, we require the following information:

  • What material is to be used?
  • What is the font and text size?
  • Where on the item does the text need to be placed?
  • How many units are required?
  • How are the units packaged, and how should we package them after engraving?
  • For personalization, are the names available in an Excel file?
  • For engravings of logos or images, we need the best possible data.

As soon as we have the answers to the questions above, you will generally receive a quotation from us within two working days.

File formats for laser engraving

Logos and graphics
«Vector files» (formats like *.pdf, *.eps, *.dxf, *.ai, or *.cdr) are the most suitable engraving templates. These are the file formats typically used for graphics and logos.

Photos
The situation is a little trickier with «pixel files», which are used for photos and images. These include formats like *.jpeg, *.jpg, *.bmp, *.png, and *.gif. To produce a high-quality result with these file types, the file needs to be as large and high-resolution as possible. We are not normally able to produce a satisfactory result with a 10 KB file. For this reason, a 2 MB file is definitely preferable to a 200 KB one!

Text only
The choice of font and text size can play a key role in an engraving’s impact. Our machines are capable of engraving text sizes from a minimum of approx. 0.4 mm to a maximum of approx. 180 mm. We provide a wide range of fonts for you to choose from. However, if you require a special font that is essential to your order, please provide this along with your files.
