Polymechanic with Federal VET* Diploma – We train.

Polymechanics are involved in the development and production of all kinds of high-tech work pieces, using conventional milling and turning machines, as well as computer-controlled so-called CNC machines in particular. On the basis of construction plans, they define the processing steps and program complex work pieces. With highly precise instruments for measuring and testing, they inspect the manufactured parts. They also assemble devices, systems and machines, put them into operation and take care of maintenance.

Training
The polymechanics training program with Federal VET Diploma takes 4 years. The following subjects are taught at the vocational school:

  • Technical principles
  • Mathematics
  • Computer science
  • Learning and working methodology
  • Physics

A profession with a future

«After my apprenticeship as a machine mechanic (now known as a polymechanic), I was able to use the versatility of the training to gain experience in various areas. In toolmaking, prototype construction through to mechanical engineering, both at home and abroad, I was able to deepen my knowledge. Now I am happy to pass on my extensive knowledge to future polymechanics. It gives me great pleasure to be able to experience their progress at first hand. In my role as a vocational trainer, I always listen to the concerns of the learners and understand that mistakes are part of the learning process. I believe that learning can be fun and motivation is the key to success. Through my own passion for mechanics, I want to ignite their curiosity and encourage them to go above and beyond.»
